Gavistein Oral Suspension is a dual-action antacid and anti-reflux formulation containing Sodium Alginate, Sodium Bicarbonate, and Calcium Carbonate. It is designed to provide rapid relief from heartburn, acid reflux, acidity, and indigestion while offering long-lasting protection against gastric discomfort.

Sodium Alginate reacts with stomach acid to form a protective gel-like barrier (raft) that floats on top of the stomach contents, helping prevent acid from flowing back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Sodium Bicarbonate quickly neutralizes excess stomach acid and helps the protective barrier float effectively, while Calcium Carbonate provides additional acid-neutralizing action for prolonged relief.
